ALLENTOWN, Pa. - It appears the future of a familiar holiday sight in downtown Allentown is still up in the air.

Plans for the old PPL Tower were discussed Tuesday during the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce's annual real estate outlook event.

Part of that discussion was the fate of its iconic Christmas lights.

The developer said the upper floors of the tower will be apartments, and either commercial tenants or more apartments for the north building.

But the current light system wouldn't work with apartments.

Developers did say they're looking for other options.
