Danville man arrested in connection to shooting

DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — A Danville man wanted in connection to a shooting last week has been arrested, police officials said.

Deputy Chief Terry McCord said in a press release that Kevin Flight, 44, was arrested over the weekend during the execution of a search warrant in the area of Fowler Avenue and Fairchild Street. Information from the public helped Danville Police locate Flight, who is now in custody on charges of aggravated battery with a firearm.

The charges stemmed from a shooting on April 7 that left a 17-year-old hurt. The teen was shot multiple times but was listed in stable condition.

In addition to announcing the arrest, McCord thanked the public for seeing something and saying something about Flight that led to his arrest.
