One week from today is the start of the 2024 NFL draft. We will offer you up one more mock draft giving you our in-depth prediction of what the first round but for now we decided to project a couple of big first-round trades and give you a full four-round prediction.
1
Chicago Bears – QB Caleb Williams, USC
This is the pick. There’s nothing else to say.
2
Washington Commanders – QB Drake Maye, North Carolina
We have gone back and forth between Drake Maye and Jayden Daniels here. This week it’s Maye. They really are that close.
3
Minnesota Vikings (from New England) – QB Jayden Daniels, LSU
The Vikings work a big trade with the Patriots to land their franchise quarterback.
4
Arizona Cardinals – WR Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State
The Cardinals sit tight and land one of the top playmakers in the draft.
5
Los Angeles Chargers - WR Rome Odunze, Washington
Getting more weapons is a top priority for Justin Herbert and Rome Odunze is an elite pass catcher.
6
New York Giants - WR Malik Nabers, LSU
The difference between Nabers and the other top pass catchers isn’t much and he’s a perfect fit with the Giants.
7
Tennessee Titans - OT Joe Alt, Notre Dame
The safest and easiest pick to make here is Alt to the Titans.
8
Atlanta Falcons - QB J.J. McCarthy, Michigan
The Falcons sit tight and land their quarterback.
9
Chicago Bears - DT Byron Murphy II, Texas
After landing their franchise quarterback, Chicago gets a centerpiece on the defensive line.
10
Las Vegas Raiders (from New York Jets) - QB Michael Penix Jr., Washington
The Raiders make a trade with the Jets to go up and secure Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr.
11
New England Patriots - OT Taliese Fuaga, Oregon State
Patriots fans might not like passing on a quarterback but Taliese Fuaga is a franchise left tackle.
12
Denver Broncos - QB Bo Nix, Oregon
We aren’t as high on Bo Nix as many but teams are notorious for overdrafting quarterbacks.
13
New York Jets - TE Brock Bowers, Georgia
Even after the trade back the Jets still get their man in tight end Brock Bowers.
14
New Orleans Saints - OL Troy Fautanu, Washington
We love Troy Fautanu’s ability to play any spot on the offensive line.
15
Indianapolis Colts - CB Quinyon Mitchell, Toledo
If a top pass catcher falls here it’s an easy pick but instead we go for the top coverage player in Quinyon Mitchell.
16
Seattle Seahawks - EDGE Dallas Turner, Alabama
Seattle lands the top pass rusher in the draft here.
17
Jacksonville Jaguars - DB Cooper DeJean, Iowa
DeJean has the potential to be an elite free safety and slot cornerback early in his career.
18
Cincinnati Bengals - OT Olu Fashanu, Penn State
Olu Fashanu struggled in 2023 but his 2022 film is elite and his potential is very high.
19
Los Angeles Rams - DT Johnny Newton, Illinois
We aren’t saying Johnny Newton is the next Aaron Donald but no one is.
20
Pittsburgh Steelers - OL Graham Barton, Duke
Tremendous five-position lineman who could start at tackle or center this season.
21
Miami Dolphins - OT JC Latham, Alabama
One of the biggest steals of the first round right here. JC Latham is a day one starter.
22
Philadelphia Eagles - CB Terrion Arnold, Alabama
The Eagles get a nice upgrade at cornerback here with Arnold who is a gifted athlete.
23
New England Patriots - EDGE Laiatu Latu, UCLA
The Patriots go back on the clock and get explosive pass rusher Laiatu Latu.
24
Dallas Cowboys - OT Amarius Mims, Georgia
Crazy athletic offensive tackle with limited experience but a very high ceiling.
25
Green Bay Packers - S Tyler Nubin, Minnesota
Tyler Nubin is a rangy free safety with incredible ball skills and natural instincts.
26
Tampa Bay Buccaneers - EDGE Jared Verse, FSU
Jared Verse is a great all-around edge defender who really works hard to set the edge along with being a great pass rusher.
27
Arizona Cardinals - CB Nate Wiggins, Clemson
Elite speed and athleticism are a huge upgrade for the Cardinals’ secondary.
28
Buffalo Bills - WR Brian Thomas Jr., LSU
Big-time deep threat for quarterback Josh Allen.
29
Detroit Lions - C Jackson Powers-Johnson, Oregon
The Lions love big, physical offensive linemen with a nasty streak and Jackson Powers-Johnson fits the bill.
30
Baltimore Ravens - CB Kool-Aid McKinstry, Alabama
The Ravens get a bargain here with one of the most productive and experienced cornerbacks in the draft.
31
San Francisco 49ers - CB Mike Sainristil, Michigan
We love how Sainristil plays and we expect NFL teams to as well.
32
Kansas City Chiefs - WR Adonai Mitchell, Texas
There might be temptation to select a speedster like Xavier Worthy here but Adonai Mitchell is a much more productive and polished player.
33
Carollina Panthers - C Zach Frazier, West Virginia
34
New England Patriots - QB Spencer Rattler, South Carolina
35
