MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is dead and another has been detained following a shooting on I-240 Tuesday morning.
A little after 7 a.m., Memphis Police responded to shots fired on I-240W near Millbranch.
One man was pronounced dead on the scene. Another was detained. Preliminary information suggests the shooting was a result of road rage.
MPD asks that drivers take another route.
According to Memphis Police, there have been 22 interstate shootings this year. This time last year, there were 40 interstate shootings.
These numbers include when a victim was struck and when they were not. It does not include fatalities.
