ST. CHARLES COUNTY — Police on Wednesday evening said they found the missing teenager whose car was found abandoned just north of downtown St. Louis.
The teen was reported missing by his family Tuesday night. Police announced just after 7 p.m. Wednesday he was found safe and reunited with his family.
St. Louis police officers found him in the city while on patrol, St. Charles County police Cpl. Barry Bayles said.
The teen had last been seen by a teacher around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday leaving Liberty Church in O'Fallon, Missouri. He had gone home earlier in the day to grab some of his schoolwork, police said, and returned to the church for class.
His mother tried to contact him on his cell phone and became worried when she couldn't. She told police she used OnStar to locate his vehicle in the 1500 block of North 13th Street in the city's Old North St. Louis neighborhood near downtown.
