Star Wars and Lego have an iconic relationship. From hundreds of sets, to a celebrated video game series, there’s an endless amount of Lego and Star Wars content out there. This year is a big year for the pair, as not only is 2024 the 25th anniversary of Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, but it’s also the 25th anniversary of the first Star Wars LEGO set.
From mini figures, to huge recreations of ships with intricate interiors, Lego has been expanding the possibilities of what you can create from simple colourful blocks.
In the spirit of May the 4th, here are our rankings for some of the best Star Wars Lego sets to have ever come out.
8. 75379 R2-D2
R2-D2 is the iconic Star Wars droid. So it’s only fair that it gets an entire great Lego set to match that.
This iconic Lego set is packed to the brim with little easter-eggs, with tons of gadgets to reflect the swisse-army-knife like design of R2-D2, who could seemingly do everything.

7. 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser
The Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser is a fan favourite ship design from Star Wars. If you’re a diehard fan of the prequel-era, odds are you know this ship like it’s the back of your hand.
The ship was the primary war ship design during The Clone Wars, debuting in Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. Since then, it’s appeared in countless games and other media.
The Lego set is a great recreation, thanks to the 5374 pieces involved in constructing this behemoth of a build. You also score some exclusive mini figures of Captain Rex and Admiral Yularen, which you can place right in the bridge of the ship.

6. 7662 Trade Federation MTT
Taken from the iconic battle of Naboo in Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, the Trade Federation MTT is a recreation of the vessel ship that transports the Separatist Battle Droids to the field.
The Lego set recreates this faithfully, storing multiple Battle Droid mini figures inside of it, in addition with some Droideka’s.
It’s one of the older sets out there, and has since been discontinued. But the value given in this set at the time makes it leaps and bounds one of the best Lego sets of its time, that still holds up to this day.
This one is tricky to track down due to the reseller market. There are currently some available on Amazon and eBay with prices over $1000 AUD.
5. Star Wars 501st Legion Clone Troopers 75280
Everyone has their first battle set to get them started with Lego, and the 501st Clone Trooper Legion set may just be one of the best looking ones.
Within the set, you score 4 LEGO mini figures: three 501st Clone Troopers and a 501st Jet Trooper, plus two Battle Droids and weapons for battles. You also pick up an easy-to-build AT-RT Walker and BARC speeder.
If you were looking for a set to east you into building Lego’s, this would be a great place to start.

4. 75021 Republic Gunship
The Republic Gunship (Or the LAAT model) has quickly become one of the more interesting Star Wars ship designs, thanks to its appearance in video games like the original Battlefront 2.
It made its first debut in Episode 2: Attack of the Clones, appearing at the last second to rescue the Jedi from the Geonosian arena, wiping out swarms of droids like they were nothing.
The 75021 Republic Gunship recreates the ship that the heroes ride in pursuit of Count Dooku. It also comes with seven minifigures: Two unique clone designs, two super battle droids, and the signature looks of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala on Geonosis.
To this day, it’s still one of the most popular Lego sets out there, and remains a favourite of collectors.
This set is still a collectors favourite, but you can find some on Amazon for a hefty price.
3. Star Wars BD-1 75335
This is a biased pick from me, because BD-1 is maybe my favourite droid design in all of Star Wars. I mean come on, he looks like a baby chicken with R.O.B’s head.
BD-1 only appears in the Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order series as Cal Kestis’ ride or die companion, helping you unlock doors, ride zip lines and heal you with stims.
But I think my bias is justified as the Lego set of the little guy is such a faithful recreation. This set isn’t only just a static set piece either. You can do his signature head tilt and it comes with little stims you can store inside his head like in the games.
This set is unfortunately no longer in stock, but you can pick up resold versions on Amazon. Thankfully, these a far more affordable price in comparison to the previous entries.
2. 2022 UCS AT-AT
This might be one of the most impressive Lego builds yet. Standing at 62cms high, you better believe your entire room will become about this thing.
The AT-AT is the most striking and imposing vehicle in all of Star Wars, appearing in Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back. It’s become an iconic set piece in video games as well, whether that’s taking one down by tripping it, or riding one while mowing down rebel scum.
The set comes with 6785 pieces, and includes nine mini figures. These mini figures include: Five snow troopers, two AT-AT pilots, one Imperial Officer and Luke Skywalker in his signature Hoth pilot outfit.
It’s too soon to say, but I think this set will quickly become the most iconic and celebrated Lego build.

1. 75192 Millennium Falcon
Of course, there was no other choice for the best Star Wars Lego set out there.
This Lego model of the Millennium Falcon might be the most intricate and difficult Lego builds out there, with a whopping 7541 pieces dedicated to reconstructing Han Solo’s iconic ship.
There are so many specific details captured here. From the radar dish, to a boarding ramp, escape pods. There’s even a detachable roof so you can peak inside and check out the living areas where the characters are seen playing Dejarik.
What’s even better, is that the ship looks incredible, and is proof that after all that hard work assembling it, you have an amazing setpiece for any room you place it in.
For that reason, I think this makes it the peak of the Star Wars and Lego collaboration, and it’ll be tough for Lego to top this.
