CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Is this April or June? It's record-breaking heat in Cincinnati, but with that comes the potential of severe weather.

Expect a third consecutive day in the 80s. Temperatures reached 85 degrees on Monday, which broke a record.

Tuesday's high of 83 would be a little shy of the record of 86, but still 15-20 degrees above average.

An isolated shower or storm is possible. There are better chances for rain and storms late Tuesday night and into early Wednesday morning as low pressure pushes into the Great Lakes and a cold front moves in. There's a chance for some severe weather, mainly Wednesday afternoon and early evening. A level two risk of severe weather includes large hail, damaging wind gusts and tornadoes.

As this front passes, the area dries out Wednesday evening and into Thursday. But by Thursday night another cold front moves in bringing the chance for more showers and storms into Friday morning.

Following this front, much cooler air takes over for the weekend, but things look dry. Temperatures may not get out of the upper-50s and lower-60s for highs this weekend with lows dipping back into the 30s and 40s.
