FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) -- We start off Thursday under a partly cloudy sky, with a gradual increase in cloud coverage throughout the day.
We also stay warm for one more day with high temperatures in the 70s.
Although we stay dry during the daylight hours, the sky is overcast by sunset as we look ahead at our next rain chance.
A cold front brings a line of showers through the area late Thursday night, moving through Friday morning before sunrise.
New rainfall amounts between one quarter and one half inch are possible Thursday night.
Following Thursday night’s frontal passage, temperatures stay cooler for the rest of the forecast.
Friday is partly to mostly cloudy with highs in the mid 50s.
High temperatures drop into the lower 50s over the weekend, with lows near freezing possible.
The best chance for freezing temperatures, along with frost, will be closer to the Indiana Toll Road.
