The driver who hit the patrol SUV may have suffered a medical episode, troopers say

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash Wednesday morning on I-4 in Seminole County.At 4:05 a.m., a 63-year-old man was driving east on I-4 near SR 417 in Sanford. A Seminole County Sheriff's Office patrol SUV was parked in the outside lane within a construction zone. The deputy got out and stood next to his patrol SUV. The 63-year-old driver lost control and hit the deputy's vehicle, knocking the deputy to the ground in the shoulder.Both the deputy and the driver were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Troopers say the driver may have suffered a possible medical episode.
