STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A Staten Island man who pleaded guilty to firing a gun at police was sentenced Wednesday by a judge to 16 years in prison.

Hassan Turay, 26, of St. Marks Place in St. George, had previously copped to an attempted murder charge in state Supreme Court, St. George, which stemmed from a wild police chase in August 2019 that devolved into gunfire.
