Bench trial granted for Lincoln woman accused of first-degree murder in double homicide at apartment complex
On Thursday, a Lincoln woman accused of killing two men at an apartment complex asked the court for a bench trial in the case.
A Lancaster County judge granted the request for the bench trial for Taylor Bradley, so a jury of her peers will not determine her guilt or innocence. Instead, a judge will decide.
Bradley is accused of attempted first-degree murder and two counts of use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony in the deaths of 42-year-old Chris Karmazin and 45-year-old Ronald Gonzalez.

Bradley allegedly struck Karmazin and Gonzalez with her vehicle in March 2023 at an apartment complex in Lincoln, according to authorities.
She's alleged to have "purposely located" the victims in a grassy area near the clubhouse at the apartment complex and hit both of them with her vehicle, according to authorities.
According to court documents, Bradley is also accused of attempting to kill a third man — Robert Sargent.
Bradley was initially ruled incompetent to stand trial, but after she received treatment, a judge ruled that she was competent to stand trial.
The bench trial has been set for May 17.
