The Pittsburgh Steelers already look better than they did last season.
They haven’t even gotten together for their offseason preparation, yet most people believe they could be a sneaky dark horse to come out of the AFC.
That’s what happens when you go from Kenny Pickett, Mason Rudolph, and Mitch Trubisky to Russell Wilson and Justin Fields.
Still, as better as they should be next season, the Steelers need more weapons for their passing game if they want to make a statement in one of the most competitive divisions in all of football.
That’s why the front office is reportedly going to great lengths to try to get an elite reinforcement for their receiving corps.
According to Denver Broncos insider Ryan Edwards, the Steelers are trying to get Brandon Aiyuk (via Benjamin Allbright).

Aiyuk is reportedly disgruntled with the San Francisco 49ers over his role in the offense, and he sparked some speculation about a trade to Pittsburgh when he tweeted at coach Mike Tomlin over their resemblance.
As good a player as Aiyuk is, his role in the offense will most likely stay the same for as long as Deebo Samuel, Christian McCaffrey, and George Kittle are also in town.
In Pittsburgh, on the other hand, he could be either WR1 or WR2 opposite George Pickens, and they could sign him to a contract extension.
Aiyuk is coming off a second-team All-Pro season and won’t be easy to get, but the Steelers should explore all their options to get this deal done.
