The Crown Point Community School Corp. will be holding a transition-to-adulthood and resource fair for families and students later this month.
The event will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on April 23 at Crown Point High School, 1500 S. Main St.
It will include over 60 organizations that will share information with families regarding opportunities and resources available for their children after graduation.
Groups represented will include local colleges, the armed forces, skilled traded groups and respite care providers.
Wealth advisers will also provide presentations on financial planning at the event.
While the event is designed for students 14 years and older who receive special education services, the event is open to anyone, the school corporation said.
According to Director of Exceptional Education Heather Paskis, this is the third year Crown Point schools is hosting this resource fair.
"We’re proud to partner with so many local businesses and organizations to help our students and their families plan for life after high school," Paskis said.
