Searchers continued to look for the remains of a murdered Milwaukee woman on Wednesday.
Family and volunteers combed through Warnimont Park in Cudahy, searching for 19-year-old Sade Robinson's remains.
WISN 12 News was on the scene when Milwaukee County sheriff's deputies arrived and taped off a gate with crime scene tape and later left, carrying brown evidence bags.
WISN 12 News called and emailed the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office to ask if anything was found relating to Robinson's death.
More than two weeks ago, Robinson's severed leg was found in the park near the water's edge. The discovery happened one day after investigators said Robinson went on a first date with 33-year-old Maxwell Anderson.
Anderson is now charged with killing Robinson and mutilating her body.
According to a criminal complaint against Anderson, surveillance video showed a car that matched the description of Robinson's ram through the gate near the pump house at Warnimont Park in the early morning hours of April 2. Later that day, Robinson's severed leg was found near the water's edge.
"They want justice. This is a horrible thing that happened, and they want justice," Christopher Schwartz said.
Schwartz did not know Robinson, but he still turned out Wednesday to help her family find closure.
"We need to find her and get her back to the parents," Schwartz said. "She took a chance to date, and look what happened."
Schwartz said he volunteers in searches like the one at Warnimont Park after starting a non-profit called Operation Locate Our Children. His work was inspired by another Milwaukee mystery, the disappearance of 7-year-old Alexis Patterson in 2002.
"Since Alexis Patterson, we've been here in the community trying to do our best to locate those that are missing," Schwartz said.
Schwartz said he's determined to help bring Robinson's remains home to her family.
"They want to have a proper funeral burial. So we need to find her, and we won't stop until we do," Schwartz said.
