EUGENE, Ore. – New information has emerged on an accused bank robber who was caught less than 20 minutes after his alleged crime last week.

Daniel Hall, 41, is accused of robbing the Banner Bank branch on West 6th Avenue just after 9 a.m. on April 3. Court documents say that Hall had a loaded gun and wore a ski mask at the time of the robbery and Hall allegedly pointed the gun at several people while saying “This is a robbery.” Hall also allegedly told two tellers to push cash in a grocery bag, according to court records. A nearby witness reportedly saw Hall leave the bank with a gun in his hand and followed Hall to his car that was parked in a nearby alley and then reportedly gave detectives Hall’s license plate number and a description of Hall’s vehicle. Hall was then arrested a short time later by an Oregon State Trooper on Highway 58 during a traffic stop. Court documents said that Hall admitted to robbing the bank during his arrest and said he had a loaded gun. Hall also allegedly had two fully-loaded handgun magazines in his pocket.

Hall has been charged with four counts of first-degree robbery and his next court date is May 8. According to jail records, Hall is still in custody at the Lane County Jail as of April 8, 2024.
