Bridgerton Season 3 Trailer: Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton heat up the internet; Fans root for Penelope-Colin romance

The social season is just around the corner and rest assured there's going to be plenty of romance, gossip and scandal to spice up Lady Whistledown's columns.
The first trailer of 'Bridgerton Season 3' Part 1 dropped online last night and it set the ball rolling for a fiery new romance between Nicola Coughlan's Penelope Featherington and Luke Newton's Colin Bridgerton.This season sees the youngest Featherington setting out to find a husband, only to receive help from the last person she expects.
The trailer gave fans a tantalizing view of the chapter set to unfold this summer with the promise of friendship, romance, comedy and love.
The clip was released with the caption, "Dear reader, this author must inquire…what is the primary force that guides us on our paths? Is it our minds, or our hearts? Perhaps we should discover the answer together.... Bridgerton Season 3: Part 1."

This season will see Penelope struggling to find a suitable match only to have Colin offer his assistance, an offer she can't refuse. Still harbouring past wounds of rejection and hurt on overhearing Colin's declaration never to court her, Penelope and Colin set out together on this enemies-to-lovers plot as they unravel the complexities of their relationship.
As anticipated, the trailer gives fans a peek into all the angst and yearning instore as Colin grapples with newfound emotions, realizing that his feelings for Penelope extend beyond being mere 'friends'.
Fans on social media could not hold back their excitement and took to their handles to share their honest reactions and root for the romance that has been building up since Season 1.
"IM SO EMOTIONAL YALL COLIN REALIZING HIS FEELINGS IS GONNA BE THE END OF ME," said a fan in a tweet.

Departing from the chronological order of Julia Quinn's novels, season three places the two at the forefront, offering audiences a fresh perspective on their romantic journey that has been building up for two seasons, with Pen almost always facing rejection by Colin.



Based on the novel 'Romancing Mister Bridgerton', this season sees the return of the stellar cast including Jonathan Bailey as Lord Anthony Bridgerton, Simone Ashley as Kate Sharma, and Claudia Jessie as Eloise Bridgerton.
Bridgerton Season 2 Part 1 will feature 4 episodes that will be released on May 16, 2024, and Part 2 will feature another 4 episodes that arrive a little less than one month later on June 13, 2024.
