According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Hollywood officers responded to a residence around 2 p.m. local time on March 19 for a domestic issue. “Victim and suspect were involved in a domestic dispute,” the LAPD public information officer confirmed. “The suspect threw a bag containing a glass bottle at the victim, missed the victim, but the object hit the victim’s child causing injury,” the officer alleged. Their son was treated by paramedics and Richard was charged with assault with a "deadly weapon." A representative for Quinn has not yet responded to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
