A naked man was arrested after he allegedly ripped a light fixture off a home and then assaulted a Las Cruces police officer in New Mexico.

Court documents say officers found Elijah Jason Paul De Armond completely naked and banging on someone's front door, Saturday night.

Then, when the homeowner told him to leave, De Armond allegedly "became disorderly," "ripped" the light fixture off the front porch, and broke the front glass door by throwing a rock at it.

Police arrived and court documents say when officers shined their spotlight on De Arnold, he ran towards their patrol vehicle.

One reportedly got out and ordered De Arnold to get on the ground.

De Arnold "somewhat" kneeled on the ground, the court documents say, and when the officer tried to arrest him, De Arnold "[grabbed] him by the front of his vest" and pulled on it twice.

At that point, the officer "escorted" him to the ground and when two officers tried again to arrest him, he allegedly grabbed one's left hand and refused to let go until she hit him in the face "several" times.

De Arnold, 24, is charged with two counts of battery upon a peace officer, indecent exposure, criminal damage to property over $1,000 and resisting, evading or obstructing an officer.
