DETROIT— Less than 24 hours after the conclusion of a historically bad season for the ball club, the Detroit Pistons tipped off their offseason on Monday morning, holding exit interviews at their practice facility during locker room cleanouts.
Unlike last year, where the entire team minus Killian Hayes spoke, this year’s media session was limited to nine players: Cade Cunningham, Jalen Duren, Jaden Ivey, Isaiah Stewart, James Wiseman, rookies Ausar Thompson and Marcus Sasser and Simone Fontecchio, whom the Pistons acquired from the Utah Jazz at the NBA trade deadline.
