MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A man died and a 14-year-old boy was seriously injured after gunfire erupted in Raleigh on Sunday, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).
MPD said the shooting happened on Ridgestone Drive outside of the Keystone Apartments just before 9 p.m. on April 14.
The shooting claimed the life of a 23-year-old man and sent the 14-year-old boy to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in critical condition, according to police.
Witnesses told FOX13 that they saw two people walk up to the 23-year-old and shoot him before running off.
According to MPD, the male juvenile was taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in critical condition, but was later upgraded in stable condition, police said.
MPD did not immediately release any information about the suspects, but did ask anyone who can help identify the shooter or shooters to call CrimeStoppers at 901-528-CASH.
