Hello! I am looking for members to join our committee for the Washington County Walk to End Alzheimer's. This walk takes place annually in the fall, this year will be on October 5th, 2024 from 8am-12pm at the Hollywood Casino at the Meadows (on the racetrack). Through this event, we raise over $100,000 that goes directly towards Alzheimer's and dementia research, care, and support resources.
Our committee meets monthly on Zoom to help plan the event and recruit sponsors, teams, volunteers, and participants. We meet for an hour each month and brainstorm how to raise awareness for our event and discuss fundraising opportunities. I'm looking for folks who are passionate about putting an end to Alzheimer's and dementia, and are well connected in Washington County.

The Greater Pennsylvania Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association serves 59 counties in western, central and northeastern Pennsylvania through its offices in Harrisburg and Pittsburgh, along with a network of dedicated staff and volunteers across the Commonwealth.
