The second season of Netflix's Wednesday will feature Steve Buscemi.

According to Deadline, Buscemi will be joining Jenna Ortega in the Addams Family spin-off show, but his role is being kept secret for now.

Buscemi's long and illustrious career includes memorable film roles in Fargo and The Big Lebowski, as well as recurring appearances in some of Adam Sandler's comedies.

On the TV side, he earned an Emmy Award nomination for portraying Tony Soprano's childhood friend Tony Blundetto in The Sopranos and has more recently acted in and directed Daniel Radcliffe's comedy series Miracle Workers.

He won an Emmy for his short-form series Park Bench with Steve Buscemi, as well as winning a Golden Globe and two SAG Awards for portraying gangster Enoch 'Nucky' Thompson in HBO's period crime drama Boardwalk Empire.

Jenna Ortega will reprise her role as Wednesday Addams in the second season of Netflix's coming-of-age comedy series, as her amateur detective character faces more social perils of attending Nevermore Academy.

The actress has previously promised some huge changes for Wednesday season two, including shifting away from the romance aspect in the first run.

"We're ditching any romantic love interest for Wednesday, which is really great," she told Variety. "We've decided we want to lean into the horror aspect of the show a little bit more.

"Because it is so lighthearted, and a show like this with vampires and werewolves and superpowers, you don't want to take yourself too seriously."

The show has also undergone creative changes behind the scenes, with the production base being moved from Romania to Ireland for the new season.

It was recently reported that Netflix has started developing a Wednesday spin-off show that could bring back Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester.

The first season of Wednesday is available to stream now on Netflix.
