Young mom dies in freak work accident after becoming ‘trapped’ in factory machine

A young South Carolina mom was killed in a freak accident Wednesday when she became entangled in a machine while working at a textile factory.

Brianna Danielle Coyle, 30, was found by horrified coworkers after becoming “trapped at the machine where she was working” at Carolina Cotton Works on Wednesday morning, Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler said, according to The State.

It is unclear how she became trapped in the machine.

Coyle — who was married and had a young daughter, according to her Facebook profile — was rushed to Cherokee Medical Center, where she died in the emergency department.

Her last post was a bathroom mirror selfie that showed her flashing a peace sign while smiling into the camera.

“I have no words to explain how much this hurts baby girl. You wasn’t just my step daughter but you were my friend long before that,” Coyle’s stepmother, Jessica Bell, wrote in an emotional social media tribute Wednesday night.

“I love you baby girl and I’ll miss you forever my heart is literally shattered,” she said.

Coyle’s father, Brian Bell, also shared a series of touching photos of his daughter over the years.

“I love you baby girl,” he wrote alongside one picture.

A spokesperson for Carolina Cotton Works – which produces medical gowns, masks, flame-resistant workwear, and military gear – described Coyle’s death as a “tragic accident.”

“Unfortunately, one of our employees has passed away. We are deeply saddened and are cooperating with the proper authorities as we conduct our investigation,” Brittany Rape,  the company’s human resources manager, told WYFF4 ahead of the coroner’s report.

Carolina Cotton Works did not immediately reply to The Post’s request for a comment.

The coroner’s office is investigating the incident alongside the South Carolina Occupational Safety and Health Administration, The State added.
