Where Notre Dame football commits landed on ESPN’s top 300

Notre Dame football has a great core class for the 2025 recruiting cycle, one that many viewed as the top group in the country.

The Irish have 19 total commits at the moment, with room at add a few more. Many of those verbal pledges were named to ESPN’s top 300 list, confirming that Notre Dame has some very good prospects headed to South Bend.

Seven of the 19 were on the list, again, showing that the Irish coaching staff has done a great job identifying talent and getting them to commit. Find out below where each Notre Dame football verbal is ranked by ESPN.

No. 35 cornerback Ivan Taylor

The top Irish commit in the class is a 4-star prospect according to ESPN. Taylor, who stands 6-foot and weighs 175-pounds is the 5th ranked player at his position.

No. 133 quarterback Deuce Knight

The lefty is the top Irish recruit on offense according to ESPN. Knight is ranked as a dual-threat and has an impressive frame at 6-foot, 5-inches and 205-pounds.

No. 152 linebacker Anthony Sacca

No. 157 offensive tackle Owen Strebig

The monster tackle is the highest rated lineman for the Irish. Strebig spurred his hometown team Wisconsin, and the Badgers loss is Notre Dame’s gain for the 6-foot, 5-inch and 280-pound tackle.

No. 189 defensive end Christopher Burgess Jr.

The Irish landed the impressive defender over multiple schools who wanted his commitment. Burgess Jr. could end up at a linebacker as well, as his 6-foot, 5-inch and 250-pound frame suggests.

No. 249 tight end James Flanigan

Tight end U gets stronger with the addition of Flanigan. He’s got great size at 6-foot, 5-inches and 225-pounds.

No. 264 running back Justin Thurman

Notre Dame went to Florida and grabbed one of the states better running back prospects in Thurman. At 5-foot, 11-inches and 180-pounds, he could force his way into a deep rotation when he arrives on campus.
