Tennessee quarterback Joe Milton III turned some heads and improved his draft stock with his performances at the NFL Scouting Combine and the Vols' pro day.

While many are impressed with his athleticism and powerful arm, there are still some who question Milton's chances of being successful in the NFL.

"He's got shades of Cam Newton based on his ability--but his football acumen and his accuracy are issues," an AFC scout told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. "Just doesn't have the feel for the game or the position that you'd like to see."

Milton threw for 2,813 yards, 20 touchdowns and five interceptions while adding 299 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns during his senior season at Tennessee.

He impressed with his deep passes throughout his offseason workouts, positioning himself as one of the quarterback prospects teams should consider in a talented draft class that could see as many as six signal-callers be selected in the first round alone.

B/R NFL scout Derrik Klassen projected Milton as a potential Day 3 pick in the NFL draft in his scouting report.

While Milton may need some substantial time to develop, he has enough talent to be successful in the NFL if he lands in the right situation.
