15-year-old pedestrian struck, injured by car in Reading

Police said the driver was driving without a license since his license had been previously suspended following a OUI arrest.

A 15-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon when they were struck by a car in Reading.

Police responded around 3:27 p.m. to Lowell Street to the report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle, Reading police said in a statement. At the scene, they found a 15-year-old suffering from serious, but not life-threatening, injuries. The teen was taken by ambulance to Massachusetts General Hospital for treatment. 

The driver, 25-year-old Liam Robinson of Woburn, remained at the scene and was ultimately arrested and charged with driving after suspension for OUI. Police said Robinson’s license had been suspended following a previous OUI arrest.
