The University of Hawaii softball team split its doubleheader series against Cal Poly on Saturday at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.

After Friday’s game was suspended due to rain, the Rainbow Wahine won Game 1 once it was resumed on Saturday, 3-2, a complete game from Addison Kostrencich and two hits and solid defensive play at second base from Maya Nakamura.

Hawaii exits the weekend 13-18 overall and 6-4 in Big West Conference play, while Cal Poly exits 18-12, including 8-3 in Big West games.

Hawaii will hit the road to face UC Riverside for a three-game series, beginning on Friday at 10 a.m. HST.
