Captain America 4 AKA Brave New World CinemaCon Footage Confirms What We Can Expect From Sam Wilson's Film

Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson will officially step into the Marvel Superhero Captain America with his upcoming solo release Brave New World. The film acting as a continuation of the Captain America franchise will be the fourth installment in the series. Earlier Sam Wilson played by Anthony Mackie was seen playing the role of Falcon for decades in the MCU until Cap aka Steven Rogers passed away after Avengers Endgame. While Rogers handed the shield to Falcon, American authorities in the MCU believed the shield belonged to the government and they held the power to pick a hero for their people. Before Falcon even took the title of Captain America it was handed to someone else, while Sam was left to defend himself and his power in the show Falcon And The Winter Solider.

MCU has been successful with many shows on Disney+ Hotstar, however, Falcon And The Winter Solider wasn't one of them. The show not only managed to continue Sam and Roger's story but also gave an important development to the former's character. However, the show was not as well received as other movies and shows in the franchise like WandaVision and Loki. There is much to worry about when it comes to the upcoming film, since little has been disclosed the hype hasn't been seen yet.

Recently the makers dropped secret footage from the film during CinemaCon last week. Presented by Anthony Mackie himself with Kevin Feige, the footage led to quite an uproar on social media. While the footage itself has not been released for public consumption, details of the same have been out. From the scene to the casting and the protentional plot of the film have been making rounds on the internet.

The footage showed Mackie's character Sam finally taking on the role of Captain America. It showed him not only fulfilling his duties as a superhero but litreally saving America's ass. The scene released showed Cap saving Harrison Ford’s Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, who is the president of the United States in the MCU. The clip showed Cap engaged in hand-to-hand combat with brainwashed assassins. While dodging bullets he can be seen rescuing the US president while the White House is under attack.

According to reports, the scene also showed Ross offering Wilson a deal that he can't refuse. “I want Captain America to help me rebuild the Avengers,” the President says.

Meanwhile, Kevin described the upcoming film as “another fast-paced, relatively grounded action thriller” and assured that this time “there’s no aliens.” Similar to the show, the film will focus on the political establishment of MCU's US and the villains will remain humans.

The clip also shows Wilson confirming the same. He can be heard saying, “Our inner circle has been compromised." However, Ross doesn't seem to trust Wilson as the world trusted Rogers. Ross says, “You’re not Steve Rogers."

“You’re right, I’m not,” Wilson hits back in the clip.

It looks like Captain America: Brave New World will begin right after Falcon And The Winter Solider show. However, it is unclear how much of a part Bucky will be playing in the sequel. They were inseparable in the show and developed quite a bond while trying to keep the morals and idea of Cap alive, it seems like Wilson will be going on a solo mission for the fourth film.

Marvel has much to worry about with not only Captain America 4 but also several other releases. The recent films like Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Eternals, Doctor Strange 2 and The Marvels divided critics and fans. With Deadpool And Wolverine hitting the bit screen first there might be some hope among fans that the follow-up release, Captain America: Brave New World on Feb 14, 2025, will keep up the positive string of releases.
