Woman Melts Together Every Lipstick She Owns To Create Shade You Can't Buy

It's rare to find the perfect lipstick shade—with so many on the market is can be an overwhelming task, and no matter how many you try it's never quite right.

If you've ever found yourself wishing you were able to combine the depth of one formula with the shine of another to create your ideal shade, there may be a way to make it happen, as demonstrated by Chantelle Fen across three viral videos.

Fen, who posted the series to her TikTok account, @chantelleef, gained over 9.1 million views combined as she created a "Franken-lipstick" by mixing together a small amount from each product in her collection.

The result is what Fen called "the perfect color I've been looking for my whole life," meaning your perfect shade could be lying in your drawer waiting to be created.

Using a lipstick mold to create a usable bullet of her new custom color, Fen melted her mixture down using a candle lid and lighter before adding it to the mold and leaving it to set.

After she believed the formula was set, she scraped off the excess before lining it up with an empty lipstick bullet. Her first attempt to twist the lipstick down with the new product worked to a degree, but due to the product needing further time to set the top half remained in the cast.

After some time in the freezer, Fen had another go at releasing her DIY product from the mold, with more success as she was finally able to try the new nude shade for herself.

To ensure the product would last, she re-melted the mixture and left it in the freezer overnight for a guaranteed smooth finish from the mold, leaving her with a patterned product that wouldn't look out of place in store!

If you want to mix a shade or two at home, and don't fancy melting down your expensive products, simply use a lip brush and a mixing palette to quickly create a custom color.

What Do the Comments Say?

Viewers who had followed the series were happy Fen had persevered in the end, as one said, "Took a few tries, but it came out perfectly in the end!"

"I'm glad that u didn't give up. I would give up a long time ago," added another.

"You don't know how happy I am that this finally worked. Idk why," said a third.

Others loved the shade that Fen had created, as one said, "That's a beautiful color too."

Others said, "It's so pretty," and, "I'm obsessed with the color."

"That is like my perfect lipstick color," commented one user.
