    Noida International Airport conducts first calibration flight to test navigation systems

    The Noida International Airport conducted its first calibration flight using a Beechcraft King Air B300 to ensure the efficient functioning of the Airport Authority of India's navigation systems.

    In an important step ahead, the Noida International Airport on Thursday conducted its first calibration flight to ensure seamless functioning of the navigation systems.
    A DVOR calibration flight, which is Beechcraft King Air B300, took off from the airport to check the navigation equipment by Airport Authority of India work efficiently.

    "A bright and sunny day at #NIAirport set the perfect stage for a DVOR calibration flight, the first of many. The Beechcraft King Air B300 took to the skies, to ensure all @aai_official navigation equipment works flawlessly. #FromTheGroundUp," the Noida International Airport said on X.


    The first phase of development of the upcoming international airport in Noida will cost Rs 10,056 crore and so far, around Rs 7,100 crore has already been spent on it, PTI has reported.

    The first phase of the airport, being developed in 1,300 hectares, is scheduled to open for flight operations by September.

    According to a report by PTI, in its first phase, the airport which has been given code DXN, will have one runway, a terminal building with a capacity to handle 12 million passengers annually.
