Laguna Beach Bike Park-Real or Fake?

In recent months, an Instagram account has been gaining popularity called the Laguna Beach Bike Park, claiming to offer a lift-accessed bike park in Southern California.

A recent video advertised a new feature of the park. Watch the video below.

In this video, the Laguna Beach Bike Park convincingly advertises new “loam cannons” in the style of snowmaking.

The Laguna Beach Bike Park is part of a new vein of Instagram accounts using AI art to satirically advertise new obnoxious construction projects. Their posts advertise a bike park in the quiet town of Laguna Beach, California slated to open in 2056.

Not everyone fully understands that it is not a serious project. See a series of earnest user interactions in one of their posts below.

In fairness to those confused, their logo does look official and they do have a website in their bio.

Thankfully, most people are in on the joke at this point. The Laguna Beach Bike Park Instagram account has over 7,000 followers and sells merchandise.
