The Globe’s Top 20 girls’ lacrosse poll starts where last year’s poll ended, with Notre Dame (Hingham), Lincoln-Sudbury, and Westwood taking the top three spots.
Reading, Central Catholic, and Weymouth are three teams that appear poised to build upon last year.
Newburyport and Dover-Sherborn are contenders with Medfield in Division 3, and Division 4 newcomers Norwell and Cohasset may be there at the end alongside Weston.
Also vying for spots in the coming weeks: Acton-Boxborough, Concord-Carlisle, Hingham, Ipswich, Manchester Essex, Masconomet, Nantucket, Natick, Needham, and Pentucket.
Records based on scores reported to the Globe.
