DENVER (KDVR) — Jane Austen may have written over 200 years ago, but her work continues to inspire. While the language and plots may seem dated, a new production at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts is a breath of fresh air.

“Emma” is on stage now at the Marvin and Judi Wolf Theatre.

Daybreak’s own Chris Parente caught a recent performance and raves, giving it 4 out of 5 “Parentes.”

In particular, Chris loved the director’s new approach. More than just a comedy of errors, it’s a statement on a smart, well-educated woman who isn’t allowed to do anything with her talents.

You can catch his video review in the player above, and you can catch “Emma” now through May 5. Tickets are on sale on the Denver Center’s website.
