Sullivan County Sheriff's Office hiring patrol officers

SULLIVAN COUNTY, Tenn. (WCYB) — The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office is currently hiring more patrol officers.

To apply, you must be at least 18 years old.

A part of being hired includes the sheriff's office paying for your training and certification.

Officials from the agency said it is important to get these positions filled, with safety for the community as a top priority.

"It's important to fill the positions we have open right now," Sgt. Chris Thomas said. "For the community to be safe, and it's also important as well for officer safety. The more officers you have on the street, the safer it is for us, and the safer the community is going to be in the end."
