Gregory Scott Turns

GREENWOOD

Gregory “Scott” Turns, 55, of Greenwood passed away on Sunday, April 14th, 2024, at his home after a 5+ year battle with cancer.

A lifelong resident of Greenwood/Indy’s south side, Scott graduated from Greenwood Community High School in 1987. Many know him from his days of working at Karma Records, after which he briefly worked as a mail carrier for the Beech Grove Post Office before finally settling into a long career as a graphic artist for Screenprint SpecialTees, Inc.

Scott loved all things comic books and superheroes (especially DC), enjoyed playing Dungeons & Dragons and other RPGs, and had a passion for music, movies, books, and clothing.

Scott is survived by his parents, Bill and Michiyo Turns of Greenwood, brother Brian Turns (Lori, and children Sam and Naomi) of Indianapolis, sister Carrie Turns of Greenwood, loyal fur buddy Neko, extended family in Montana and Georgia, and a close circle of friends, most notably Ricky White, Mike Crowder, and Joey Royale.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to those who sent cards and gifts, provided meals and had groceries delivered, who ran errands and picked up medications, who checked in and sent prayers, love, and good thoughts our way, and especially to those who took the time to visit and spend time with us.

No services are planned. Arrangements were entrusted to Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care, Indianapolis Chapel.
