Suspect, victim in Flint Township slaying fought over knife before fatal shooting, records show

FLINT, MI – The suspect and victim in a March homicide that occurred at a Flint Township duplex fought over a knife before the suspect, having been stabbed several times, left the scene, and quickly returned with the alleged murder weapon, according to police records.

Jimmy Lee Friend III, 38, is being held without bond on six felony counts including open murder in the March 7 shooting death of Brian Davionte Towns.
