MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) — Police are searching for a man who attacked two people with a knife inside a deli in Washington Heights, according to the NYPD.

The attack happened at around 11:08 p.m. Thursday at a deli on West 161st Street, police said.

A 29-year-old victim and a 71-year-old victim sustained injuries to their left forearm and left neck, respectively.

The suspect fled toward Fort Washington Avenue, according to the NYPD. Police described the suspect as a 5’10” male in his 50s with a scar on his face. He was last seen wearing a green coat, gray hoodie, and white sneakers.

Both victims refused medical attention at the scene. The incident was unprovoked, police said, and it was unknown if the suspect and victims knew each other before the attack.
