Warm days ahead with above-average temps for metro Phoenix
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Sunny and warmer conditions are expected today across Arizona. Yesterday’s trough of low pressure brought below-average temperatures, but high pressure will begin to build over the region today.
Look for a high of 88 degrees in the Valley this afternoon, which is just a few degrees above normal for this time of year. As high pressure strengthens, temperatures climb to the mid 90s Wednesday through Saturday.
In the high country, look for afternoon temperatures 10 to 15 degrees above normal for this time of year over the next few days. Afternoons will continue to be breezy.
The weekend looks warm and dry across the state. Strengthening high pressure could bring our first 100 degree day of the year in the Valley next Monday.
