The big domino of Oregon State men’s basketball’s offseason has now fallen.
Star guard Jordan Pope has entered the transfer portal, making the announcement Tuesday on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"After going home to spend time with family and having extensive talks about my future, my family and I have decided the best decision for my career moving forward is to enter my name into the transfer portal," Pope said in a statement. "Although this door is closing and I'm entering another chapter, Beaver Nation and the city of Corvallis will always hold a special place in my heart. I'm grateful for all the memories we've shared and thankful for the continued support these past two years."
The Oakley, California, native averaged 17.6 points per game this past season for the Beavers. He was named to the Pac-12 all-freshman team following the 2022-23 season after setting the Oregon State freshman record for 3-pointers and tying the freshman scoring record.
