Senior Fair features free health screenings, local vendors, more

The Senior Fair brings together community resources  and screens for seniors and their caregivers.  Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the SAC’s Friendship Cafe.

Senior citizens and caregivers in Cambridge, Isanti, and the surrounding areas are invited to attend the 9th Annual Senior Fair on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 9:00am-12:00pm at City Center Mall in Cambridge, MN.  The event, hosted by the North 65 Chamber of Commerce, is designed to provide seniors with valuable information and resources to help them maintain their health and wellness and to showcase local businesses and organizations that provide services for seniors and caregivers.

The event is free and open to the public. No registration or event ticket is required.

The Senior Fair will feature a variety of free health screenings, including blood pressure checks, diabetes screenings, nutrition assessments, and more.  Screenings are provided by Anoka-Ramsey Community College, Catholic Charities Senior Dining, and Central Minnesota Council on Aging.

In addition to the health screenings, the Senior Fair will include local vendor booths showcasing products and services that are of interest to seniors and caregivers.  Representatives will be on hand to provide information, answer questions, and offer special giveaways or prize drawings.

Local resources will also be available at the event, including information on senior centers, dining, home care, support groups, activities, and volunteering.  Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with professionals from Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid to receive valuable information about the free civil legal services that they offer and speak with professionals from the MN Department of Commerce about scams that target seniors.

Food and beverages will be available to purchase from SAC’s Friendship Café and City Center Market Café.

Event organizers encourage seniors and their caregivers to attend for the health screenings, local resources, and social connections that the Senior Fair has to offer.  They wish to thank this year’s Senior Fair Sponsors: Allina Health-Aetna, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of MN, CENTURY 21 Moline Realty, Inc., Edward Jones, Falcon National Bank, Forest Lake Medical Supply, Fremont Village Senior Living, Minnco Credit Union, Rosewood Senior Living, UCare
