ALCOA, Tenn. (WATE) — The Alcoa Police Department is searching for five suspects believed to be involved in vandalizing the construction site of an apartment complex over Easter weekend.

Officers and detectives were called to the scene at the Ardmore Apartments construction site on Monday, April 1.

When workers arrived on Monday, they found appliances and light fixtures destroyed, flooding through floors of multiple apartments, and paint on carpet, hardwood flooring, walls and drains. Photos shared by the Alcoa Police Department show damaged cabinetry, paint smeared on countertops and carpeting, and water pooled on apartment floors and in breezeways.

Alcoa police said the monetary loss from the vandalism has not been determined yet because of how extensive the vandalism to the property is.

Security videos from the scene show the suspects, who Alcoa Police say appear to be juveniles, walking down the street. Police believe the vandalism occurred sometime between when workers left at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 29, and 3 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, when the suspects were seen on camera.

Anyone with information to provide leading up to the incident or who may recognize the individuals spotted on security video is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Section by calling (865) 981-4111.
