HAPPENED RIGHT IN FRONT OF US. IT TOOK A LITTLE COAXING FROM OAKDALE FIREFIGHTERS, BUT THEY WERE ABLE TO CARRY JANET LEE OUT OF. HER HOME AS THE CREEK NEARBY STARTED TO OVERFLOW. MY CELLAR IS FLOODING AGAIN, AND ALL THIS CREEK WATER, THE CONSISTENT DOWNPOUR, REROUTING DRIVERS WHAT I GOT DONE. IT WAS ABOUT A FOOT OF WATER ON THIS ROAD. PEOPLE WERE STILL COMING THROUGH. FIRST RESPONDERS FOCUSING MOST OF THEIR EFFORTS ON CLINTON AVENUE. I WENT TO WORK DOWN STEUBENVILLE AND I CALLED MY NEIGHBOR, WHO’S GETTING FLOODED NOW, AND SHE SAID, I BETTER GET HOME. INSIDE PETE PERRY’S HOME WAS HIS EIGHT YEAR OLD JAPANESE, EDDIE, WHO HAD TO BE BROUGHT OUT BY FIREFIGHTERS AS HE’S SHAKEN A LITTLE BIT. I THINK HE’S NOT USED TO ALL THIS ATTENTION AND EVERYTHING, PETE’S NEIGHBOR, JANET LEE, WAS SHAKEN UP A BIT TOO, BUT IT HELPED TO HAVE A FRIENDLY FACE WAITING FOR HER OUTSIDE. I CAME DOWN, I HELPED ONE FAMILY GET HOME AND I THOUGHT I BETTER CHECK ON THE REST OF THE COMMUNITY. THESE TWO WOMEN NEVER MET BEFORE. TODAY. STEPHANIE ECKERT JUST HEARD JANET MIGHT NEED A HAND. SHE WAS SITTING ON HER PORCH. YOU CAN’T LEAVE. A NEIGHBOR IN DISTRESS RIGHT? RIGHT. THE FLOOD WATERS AS HIGH AS. 5 TO 6FT IN SOME POINTS. THAT’S ACCORDING TO THE ALLEGHENY COUNTY SWIFT WATER RESCUE TEAM. THEY TELL ME THAT. THEY HAVE RESCUED NINE PEOPLE. SO FAR. RIGHT NOW, THEY’RE ON STANDBY AGAIN AS THE FLOOD WATERS REMAIN QUITE HIGH. Water rescues were being reported in Allegheny County as heavy rainfall hit western Pennsylvania on Thursday night, with more rain expected on Friday.Firefighters rescue person from home: See the video aboveSome areas saw between 3 and 4 inches of rain. Lee said her cellar was flooded from the creek water.Inside Pete Perri's home was Eddie, an 8-year-old Havanese who had to be brought out by firefighters."He's shaking a little bit. I don't think he's used to all this attention," Perri said.Pittsburgh's Action News 4 saw cars submerged on Clinton Avenue in Oakdale as the rain continued to fall Thursday evening.Wilkins Township public safety officials said Lougeay Road was closed between Old William Penn Highway and Lower Rodi Road due to flooding.
