San Antonio's Amols gears up for Fiesta amid 75th anniversary celebrations

SAN ANTONIO - Fiesta is just two days away and we're highlighting a local icon of San Antonio's favorite time of the year.

From piñatas to sombreros, flower crowns and more, Amols is the place to go for all your Fiesta needs.

And this year' they're celebrating their 75 anniversary.

The Amols faithful have been returning to the party supply store for decades. This time of the year, there are lines out the door before the store even opens.

Six years ago, they moved from their location on Flores Street to Five Points. The owner says it's an honor to serve the community for all these years.

"We're celebrating 75 years in 2024," said Amols owner Jeffrey Weiss. "Quite an honor and something we're really proud of. To be part of the community for that long and also to keep it in the same family all these 75 years."

Amols first opened its doors back in 1949 as a party supply store, but quickly became synonymous with Fiesta.
