Linkin Park’s Huge Advancement On The Charts

Following

On Friday (April 12), Linkin Park released a new album titled Papercuts (Singles Collection 2000–2023). The greatest hits compilation may be headed for a notable debut on the Billboard charts in a few days, but before then, the band is experiencing an impressive surge on a variety of rankings.

This week, every single album by Linkin Park is surging on the charts. The band has three titles present on at least one ranking, and they all improve from where they ranked last time around. The rise may be due to increased excitement for all things connected to the rockers…or perhaps Americans just never tire of listening to the group.

Linkin Park’s debut full-length Hybrid Theory is performing the best at the moment, which is typically the case when it comes to the band. Their breakout project is present on four different rankings this frame, and it climbs on all of them.

Hybrid Theory jumps from No. 143 to No. 137 on this week’s Billboard 200. That tally is known as the main albums chart, and it ranks titles by total consumption, including streaming and sales data.

In the past tracking period, Hybrid Theory moved another 9,379 equivalent units, according to Luminate. That includes just under 600 actual purchases–a sizable number for any project that’s been out for more than two decades.

Hybrid Theory is also on the rise on three other Billboard tallies. It improves by just one space on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums (No. 30), Top Alternative Albums (No. 14), and Top Hard Rock Albums (No. 6) charts.

Two other titles from Linkin Park find space on a single chart this week, the Top Hard Rock Albums list. Just like Hybrid Theory, they both only lift one rung. Meteora is up to No. 14, while Minutes to Midnight soars to No. 17.
