Chick-fil-A set to open second Pleasanton location

(KRON) – Chick-fil-A is rapidly growing in the Bay Area. A new location is set to open on Thursday in Pleasanton.

The franchise location will honor 100 Pleasanton heroes with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year and donate $25,000 to Feeding America to aid in the fight against hunger in the local Pleasanton community.

The franchise owner Aaron Clifford is a California native who joined Chick-fil-A as a team member more than 20 years ago.

“When I started my career with Chick-fil-A nearly 25 years ago, I was drawn to the culture built around caring for others and bringing people together through high-quality, delicious food. It was my dream as a teenager to open a Chick-fil-A in the Bay Area, and I was fortunate to do exactly that,” said Clifford. “I can’t wait to expand our impact in Pleasanton with this new restaurant, so we can deliver excellence every day, and have a positive influence on our Team Members and community.”

This location plans to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program. In this initiative, the restaurant’s surplus food is donated to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits.

The address of the new Chick-fil-A is 4501 Hopyard Road in Crossroads Shopping Center. The hours of operation will be from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. from Monday through Saturday.

Chick-fil-A will also be opening a new restaurant in Concord. There is not a determined opening date; the website says “coming soon.”
