Hampton police: Seabrook man faces felony charges for wielding gun in road rage incident

HAMPTON — Police say a road rage incident involved one person brandishing a firearm on Towle Farm Road Monday.

Matthew Breslin, 40, of Seabrook, was arrested and charged with reckless conduct with a deadly weapon and criminal threatening conduct with a firearm. Hampton police say he pointed a gun at another driver when he was in his vehicle near 110 Towle Farm Road.

Police did not immediately disclose what caused the road rage incident between the two drivers. The victim, who saw the gun pointed at them, followed Breslin to the parking lot of an area business and then called the Police Department, police said.

Police said they spoke with Breslin and were able to locate a firearm that matched the description of the gun that was alleged to have been used. He was then taken into custody on his two charges, both felonies.

Breslin was brought before a bail commissioner and released on personal recognizance. He is scheduled to appear at the Hampton District Court on May 7 at 8 a.m.

Attempts to reach Breslin were unsuccessful. It was not immediately known if he had an attorney.
