BASEBALL

Mosinee 5, Kaukauna 0

KAUKAUNA - Kyle Kress was 3-for-3 and drew a walk for the Ghosts in the nonconference loss.

Tyler Jezeski and Bron Schaefer both added hits for Kaukauna.

Wrightstown 4, Brillion 2

WRIGHTSTOWN - The Tigers improved to 5-0 with the victory over the Lions.

Wrightstown, which scored one run in the first inning and three in the second, got two hits from Trevor Vande Hey and a double from Trent Vande Hey. Jack Severson drove in a pair of runs.

Joe Shimek, Chase Braun and Landon Mathes each had two hits for Brillion.

Quade Thompson pitched four shutout innings, allowing three hits while striking out eight to get the win for Wrightstown.

Jaden Bastian took the loss for Brillion.

Chilton 29, Hilbert 4

HILBERT - The Tigers blasted four home runs and had 23 hits in the five-inning victory over the Wolves.

Peyton Juckem had four hits, including a home run and a double, and had eight RBI. Hunter Rolbiecki hit two home runs and drove in six runs with three hits, and Ethan Schneider hit a home run and drove in three runs.

Slaytt Nolan added four hits and two RBI, Ryan Pierquet had four hits and three RBI, and Hudson Ludwig and Mike Vanden Heuvel both had two hits.

Ludwig (2 IP) and Nathan Mueller (3 IP) combined to allow four hits, two earned runs and strike out nine.

Manawa 16, Iola-Scandinavia 4

IOLA - The Wolves plated 10 runs in the sixth inning to pull away for the Central Wisconsin Conference win.

Dakota Stroud had the hot bat for Manawa, going 4-for-5 with a double, two stolen bases and two RBI.

Brady Zemple, Chase Dobberstein and Vincent Timm each had two hits.

Brice Fahser earned the win, pitching five innings, allowing four earned runs on seven hits, walking two and striking out two.

With the game tied 4-4 after four, Manawa took the lead for good with two runs in the fifth.

SOFTBALL

Menasha 9, Oshkosh North 1

MENASHA - The Bluejays scored in every inning but the second as they posted the nonconference win.

Karly Helf, Addie Lund, Hannah Neubert and Gabrielle Farr all had two hits for Menasha, while Kelsie Mohr hit a two-run homer in the fifth.

Olivia Borowitz powered the Spartans, going 2-for-3, while Zara Smith added an RBI.

BOYS LACROSSE

Appleton United 18, Oneida Nation 5

APPLETON - Ryder Hill had seven goals, Landon Larson four and Hans Ridlehoover three to lead Appleton to the win.

Hill registered his 100th career goal in the third quarter.

GIRLS SOCCER

Xavier 1, Appleton West 0

APPLETON - Kate Jannette scored the game’s only goal to lead the Hawks to the nonconference win over the Terrors at Xavier.

TRACK AND FIELD

Neenah Season Opener

BOYS

Neenah’s Grant Dean took first in the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes with times of :10.83, :22.18 and :50.97, respectively. Teammate Wyatt Armock won the 3,200 in 10:24.32 and the 800 in 2:07.54.

Neenah’s Sam Scheer swept the weight events, winning the discus with a throw of 131-11 and the shot put with a put of 46-0.5.

GIRLS

Neenah’s Celia Gentile won the 200 with a time of :26.96 and the 400 in 1:05.34. She also won the long jump with a jump of 18-0.

Neenah’s Rachel Dietrich won the 800 with a time of 2:27.50 and the 1,600 in 5:35.56.

Ashwaubenon’s Thea Kral won the shot put and discus with a put of 35-7 and a discus toss of 130-10.

Team scores were not kept.
