Ranking all 18 Big Ten men's basketball coaches by win total

The Big Ten basketball landscape will look vastly different than it did at the end of the 2023-24 season.

Purdue and head coach Matt Painter remain the class of the conference after the program’s first trip to the Final Four since 1980. But the conference will welcome former Pac-12 powers UCLA, USC, Oregon and Washington along with numerous new head coaches: Jake Diebler at Ohio State, Danny Sprinkle at Washington, Dusty May at Michigan and Eric Musselman at USC.

The 2024-25 season should be a new litmus test for the strength of each of the conference’s programs. The conference was already the best in the nation with quality teams from top to bottom. It now gets tougher, and it will be introduced to the impressive quality of West Coast basketball.

Earlier this offseason, we ranked the Big Ten’s 18 head coaches and the 18 programs in the conference. Now as the transfer portal window continues, here is every Big Ten men’s basketball coach ranked by career win-loss record:
