Tamar Braxton has delivered vulnerable vocals in her latest music video for her new single, “Notice Me,” where she warns past lovers that they’ll one day regret treating her as if she’s invisible. In the simplistic visual, Braxton sports bedroom hair and a glamorous beat, while donning only a white t-shirt and Hanes underwear, accessorized with Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry.

She belts, “I give you love when you don’t deserve it/ Put up with your sh*t when yo’ a** can’t focus/ When you lookin’ cray like I’m speaking foreign/ And the audacity of you not to notice me,” before warning, “One day you’ll notice me/ A girl that loves you, do anything for you/ One day you’ll notice me.”

The relatable love tune follows her 2023 single “Changed,” which peaked at No. 17 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart and No. 2 on the Adult R&B Airplay chart. She also released the holiday single “You Bring The Love” in the same year.

“Notice Me” — which was written by Braxton, Nyerere Davidson, Amber Smith, and Donald Sales — released on Friday (Mar. 15), just two days shy of her birthday. The track also ironically follows news of Braxton and her ex-fiancée, Jermey “J.R.” Robinson, rekindling their love last year.

The couple met on Peacock’s dating show, Queen’s Courtand broke up a year later when Robinson announced the split on Instagram. Following their break up, the Atlanta-based lawyer was spotted court-side with reality star Tommie Lee. Spitefully, Lee plastered her outing with Robinson all over her social media to shade Braxton. However, Robinson and Braxton were seen at an NFL game shortly after.

“That’s why I had to go get my man back, y’all,” she said to fans during a show. “I know y’all lying if y’all thought I was gon’ let my man go because he took some crackhead to a basketball game while we was broke up? No ma’am. That was not my man. He don’t owe me no loyalty. I could have went out with his homeboy. It’s all fair game when you broke up… That’s a good man, Savannah.”

Robinson also took to Instagram to open up about getting the love of his life back.

“At times, I was angry, I was mad with her and so while I was single, I took advantage of people who were ultimately trying to take advantage of me with a singular goal in mind,” he wrote at the time. “Hurt people, hurt people. And for that, I take accountability for wanting her to feel some of my pain.”

He continued, “I’m grateful that God saw fit to protect what was truly made for me and that we were able to find our way back to love. I am incredibly touched by how much she fought for me! I’m committed to loving this woman forever and I appreciate all the love and support that have come from our family, friends and supporters!”
