Coming up on Washington Week with The Atlantic:

Johnson in Jeopardy and Foreign Funding Fight:

Embattled Speaker Mike Johnson is facing a fight on two fronts: keeping his gavel and passing crucial aid for America’s overseas allies. Momentum is building among frustrated right-wing Republicans to remove him as speaker after he announced plans to bring long-stalled foreign aid bills to a vote this weekend.

Votes on the aid bills come at a pivotal time this week, as Israel is forced to weigh a response against Iran, and Ukraine's President Zelenskyy told PBS NewsHour that they have "no chance of winning" the war against Russia without U.S. support.

Joining editor in chief of The Atlantic and moderator, Jeffrey Goldberg to discuss this and more:

  • Eugene Daniels, White House Correspondent, Politico and Co-Author, “Playbook”
  • Seung Min Kim, White House Reporter, The Associated Press
  • Vivian Salama, National Politics Reporter, The Wall Street Journal
  • Graeme Wood, Staff Writer, The Atlantic

Major funding for “Washington Week with The Atlantic” is provided by Consumer Cellular, the Yuen Foundation, Sandra and Carl DeLay-Magnuson, Rose Hirschel and Andy Shreeves, Robert and Susan Rosenbaum, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and PBS.
